Navy Women's Double Breasted Suit

A navy women’s suit is an interesting garment. Traditionally speaking, blue (and variations of navy) is the most popular color for men’s clothing in the world. Blue jeans, navy blazers, French blue shirts; the list goes on. But on women, there’s something less ubiquitous about navy. Almost like it is out of place, but in the best of ways.

This particular suit is a stretch crepe material (that’s more weighty than a normal crepe fabric) in a perfectly rich navy tone. It has a double breasted closure (omitting the typical 5th and 6th buttons at the bust line), peaked lapels and hacking jetted pockets. This a clean suit, with no fussiness in the styling.

You’ll notice the buttons are made of navy trochus shells (mother of pearl) and the trousers have side adjusters. There aren’t any pleats, cuffs, heavy shoulder pads or pick stitches. Just, clean.

This could very well be the most versatile suit we’ve made for any woman. The double breasted jacket will likely be left open most of the time, showing off different blouses and not feeling too dressed up. When fastened, however, this becomes the dressiest suit in the room. Especially when paired with the skirt (not pictured). The trousers, skirt and jacket can be separated from each other to create dozens of outfits based on the three items. A sweater and the trousers with flats? A blouse and the jacket with jeans? The jacket and skirt with heels? This suit checks off more boxes than Amazon.
