Denim | Jeans

Denim fabric was invented in Nimes, France. “From Nimes” is quite literally the meaning of the word “denim.” Now a ubiquitous fabric that is produced everywhere, denim has a sturdy feel and traditionally comes in an indigo blue color range. We’ve utilized denim fabrics from Ariston and Holland & Sherry since our beginning in 2015.

But until now, we’ve never made jeans. Jeans, as we know them, are traditionally made with denim fabric and feature a number of attributes that make them an entirely unique pant.

Levi Strauss and Lee set up in 1853 and 1889 respectively and have spent the last 140+ years making a distinct garment: a denim pant with drop-down, riveted front pockets (and coin/watch pocket), patch back pockets, self fabric waistband with gold/rust stitching.

The world of fashion has always been at odds with custom clothing. Custom suits pre-date ready-made suits. But custom jeans post-date ready-made jeans. Brands and clothiers have played with custom jeans in the past, but rarely has it been done affordably and efficiently. We’ve managed to do both with the newest program to our brand.

Our program features an Italian make and both Italian and Japanese fabrics. There are 100% cotton, selvedge and stretch cotton options with the bulk being from the famed Candiani mill northwest of Milan. Clients will choose fabric, rivet finish, stitch color, fly option and, as usual, a monogram. Above all, we’ll focus on fit and be able to accommodate both front and back rise, taper and length requests. Importantly, the range of denim fabrics are priced between $250 - $330, making these incredibly comparable to many high end ready-made jeans.
