Button Necklace

$35.00

The 5 buttons we found are from France and England. They’re all incredibly detailed; simple but interesting. They’re a conversation starter and can be worn with swim trunks just as easily as a sport coat. The chains are 24 inches long and made of steel and finished with a medieval brass effect outside New York City by an 82 year old company. Each has a small story of its provenance:

Grenadiers Infanterie -Found in Chamonix, France these buttons come from the Grenadiers Infanterie and feature the famous flaming grenade logo.

Mont Blanc - Found near the Italian border in Mont Blanc, France these pristine brass buttons feature a floral motif inside an embossed triangle.

Latin Bird - Found in Derbyshire, England these two-tone buttons feature the Latin phrase “Labor Ipse Voluptas” or “The pleasure is in the work itself” surrounding a bird motif.

Coat of Arms - Found in Derbyshire, England these wonderfully aged brass buttons feature a quartered shield coat of arms badge.

Hepton - Found in Conwy, England these buttons feature the former rural district of Hepton’s coat of arms. Created in 1894 and dissolved in 1974, the district was located in West Yorkshire near Leeds.
